We had a HUGE party!
It was LOADS of fun!!!!!!
The WHOLE family was there!
It lasted MANY, MANY hours....
mainly because we needed to recover from the busy season (if you know what i mean!?!?!)
And because every party needs good music we turned on MEJOJAC'S awesome play list! It's my favorite!
And since it was an extra special celebration.....
I EVEN MATCHED ALL OF THE SOCKS!
(well, the ones with soul mate that wasn't lost at least)
It was good CLEAN fun!
There were NO hangovers
(at this party or any other party we've ever been to for that matter.)
Just lots of hang-ups (and fold ups too.)
Happy New Year to you!
May your life be filled with LOADS and LOADS of fun!!!
p.s. if you ever wan't to join us for a laundry party...you are ALWAYS invited.
the more the merrier you know!
And....because it is a new year after all.....
I made one resolution to start things off right.
It's a good idea to set reasonable expectations, right?
So I just made one SMALL, attainable goal.
Something I COULD accomplish and be proud of!
And guess what!?
(This is just between me and you...
but....
somehow I already broke my resolution.)
Oops.
There's always 2010, right???

So, are you like me? If I do a load of laundry and can't find a missing sock, I just toss the other one out. I don't even wait to see if it is in the next load, becuase I can't stand to have lonely socks hanging around my bedroom - cluttering my room. And you thought you had problems!
i'm the opposite. i'll hold on to a dear little sock FOREVER. it takes me months of searching until i'll throw a lone sock out! :) i just hope. until i eventually give up.
Sounds like my kind of party!!! You know how I love work. Good luck with your resolution. Love, MOM
You have inspired me. I'm starting 2010 laundry free!(it might take me all year to get there)
I know you too well Julie. I knew by the second line that it was a laundry catch-up party!
I really need to do one of those over here in the worst sort of way!!!
We'll have to talk soon. :)
By the way, do you think there is a place in heaven reserved especially for missing socks? For some reason I tell Weston that, even though he doesn't understand me. I just think it's funny!
No way! Are you serious? You did laundry for your party? Hehe! We were out of town and here I thought I missed a big shindig next door!
I'm like you ... I hang onto the sock forever. We have a bag of single socks. That we keep adding to. And, then every once in a while I'll go through it and see if there are any matches that have accumulated in it. That's the thrifty side of me.
The side of me that's enjoying the elbow room in life is also buying bags of socks here and there, figuring for well under $10, I can have ZERO issues with the kids having socks when they need them. It's well worth it! I do still have that big bag bulging of single socks, though .....
What a good idea Julie! I was caught up on the laundry for about one day, now because of Sun, I'm behind again! Blasted laundry, how I hate you!
I groaned most sincerely when I saw that laundry mountain. My favorite is when I pile all of it on Afton's bed, don't get to it for days...move it from her bed to a blanket on the floor...back to the bed...back to the blanket...discover Raisin peed on it anyways....Sigh. Laundry.
I need to have one of those parties myself. I hold on to lone socks too!
Oh how I detest laundry! I get caught up in one day, and 2 days later I have 3 loads ready to go int he washer. Laundry and dishes- never ending!!
I had that same kind of party all day today.
A laundry party... what a great idea! Can I invite my kids?? :)
I am so glad you like my playlist!! I love playing around with the music on it
did you write a new post and then delete it? just wondering!
How do you get an e-mail alert that you've added to your blog? I went on another blog and they had a place for me to sign up for an e-alert. Thanks, LOVE, MOM
Cute party! I like how you put your "Honey Do" list right under the picture of your husband (on the side of your blog).
We have a Sock Graveyard drawer where all the missing socks go until their mate is discovered.
