fun at the park

Anna is a seasoned walker and is ready to hit the playground...hopefully not litterally! She really loved climbing!

One nice thing about living in a hotter climate is... fun trips to the park in late fall!

one month later!

Yes, it's November 30 and I'm posting Halloween...
What is he??? Migrant farmer! He opted out of the origional idea of us as the farmers and our kids a pig and a cow... and so... he's a hungry mexican farmer downing double corn dogs.
Anna managed to bite through the wrapper only once...and since it was Halloween, I let her keep it!
The cuties in their costumes Justin goes to pre-school with each Thursday.
Justin's dream come true, mom's nightmare.

Child Labor

Do child labor laws apply in the home??? I hope not because as I am teaching Justin about chores in the home it's way more work on me anyways...but they do say he needs to do it. I guess it will pay off later.:)

What a great Daddy!

When I filled out a Relief Society survey about what sport I liked to watch, I wrote, Wrestling(between Patrick and Justin.) It's so fun to watch Patrick play with the children, especially Justin. My favorite is when they leap like frogs across the house. Patrick has super leaping abilities. I'm the cheer leader...Mommy just can't compare!:)

ANNA WALKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND FLIES TOO!

Anna has finally decided to walk...of course it's only when she wants too. It's been fun to see the differences between her and Justin. Justin was doing the same at 11 months. She's almost 14. She is way more cautious and careful, but still does the occasional belly flop. It's so fun to see my children learn and grow.

Hooray for Big Kids!

Justin's neighborhood big kids.
It was so fun to see all of the things that 8 year olds do and make. I watched them one day and we had tons of fun!

This book has been totally awesome!

What have I been up to? Reading the book:
Hannah Keeley's Total Mom Makeover: The Six-Week Plan to Completely Transform Your Home, Health, Family, and Life

I just wrote my 1st book review ever on Amazon and thought I would share it with all of you! This book has been the best thing ever for me!I checked it out at the library and I couldn't renew it any longer so I bought it. I don't usually buy books, just borrow, but this one I did. I love it.

This Book Has CHANGED My Life!, October 18, 2007
By
Patrick J. Morris "Julie" (USA) - book was exactly what I needed I'm an at home mom of a 1& 3 year old and have been trying for 3 years to keep my life balanced on a regular basis but only have done that in waves. Until now. Since I quit my job as a 2nd grade teacher to become a full time homemaker, I've never been so driven and motivated. I'm better in so many areas and I'm only at week four in the book. I spend 1/2 hour every day doing the exercises and taking notes. I love that time I spend.I can't wait to get up and read the next day. I recommend it to every mom I know because it has helped my life so much. Hannah is funny and organized the book so well. I love the sequence of chapters, exercises, reminders, and her writing style. It's very easy to read. I want to tell more...but my baby needs me. Any mom could use the information found in this book!WOW!

Our Garden Rocks!

Our Garden ROCKS!

Several of my friends have beautiful fruits and vegetables to show for their labors. We have rocks.

These rocks were hauled in from surrounding areas by my now especially buff husband and will soon be put to use as a retaining wall...Much to Justin's dismay I'm sure, because now they are his official play set. This isn't the garden of my dreams, just a work in progress!:)

Play Kitchen Kraziness

A bit of advice. If you can't decide weather to buy the $40 play kitchen or the $95 kitchen, you should ask yourself... do I want to spend the $55 extra or get two additional helpers and spend two hours building the thing from scratch. There's a reason for the large price difference. Grandma and grandpa had no idea what they were getting themselves into... I'm just lucky they decided to get it out of the box before leaving!
"So this is what you do when you are retired."

At least Anna loves it!

Anna's Play Party

The boys didn't care if Anna was only turning One...What a great reason to have fun!

H
Anna developed a fond love of icing that day...if only she could convince her mom to give her more!
