I have always felt pity for any girls I would have and the state of their hair, especially since I barely get around to brushing my own sometimes! A few weeks ago after some introspection and looking at many, many pictures of Anna with ratty hair, I admitted to myself that my little girl looks more like a little rat! I decided it was finally time to start putting up her shaggy hair! I started the habit with my comb, rubber bands, spray bottle, Baby Einstein for distraction and bows (if I'm lucky. )I now look at her more adoringly and am not as easily annoyed when she proceeds to tear apart my house the way toddlers do so well. It was an enjoyable moment to watch her as she played and pretended to eat with a spoon and a little dish for over an hour! She has such a cute personality... luckily her hair looked cute to match it. I admire all you mommies who take such good care of your kiddies!
I stumbled across a CUTE blog all about hair! Something to look forward to when Anna has more of it!

Congratulations Anna! Welcome to the world of having to do your hair for the rest of your stinkin life.
My little girl gets the same treatment. What's bad is I am lucky to get her out the door, let alone hair brushed and done, before preschool. When I pick her up though, her hair tends to be brushed and sometimes it's have a clip or ponytail in it. I'm lucky she has grandma at preschool, I don't know what I'm going to do when in the fall when she starts kindergarten.
Miss Anna, you look BEAUTIFUL!!!
Cute Piggies! I am excited for the day Katie has hair for me to do. Yet, I can wait for some strange reason.
I found that when Mandy's hair got a little longer I wanted to do it more because it drives me crazy when it's in her face. Love the link to the hair blog!
Yep - my little girl's hair is usually a mess... she hates to have it brushed!
She is too cute. But it does make me grateful to have boys and being able to stick them in hats and say your hair is done! (I am not much of a hair person either! I consider having it in a ponytail as being done up!)
I remember when i first started pig tails with my last. It definately upped her cute factor(which everyone knows is best mesured by comments at the grocery store).
Congrats on the clothes organizing. I will pretend it did not remind me of what awaits me in the garage. "La, la, la", with fingers in my ears.
It's a big day in our house when our baby get's enough hair for piggies! I'm so glad you put that link on doing hair- I used one of hers today- I'm not as good but practice makes perfect right?!
Hans prefers Amelia in pig tails because he says they make her look younger. I love them because they keep the hair out of her face.
I love the pigtails! Eliza is now two and it is just now long enough to do pigtails. (but now much) she loves to have her hair brushed and put up. she has been asking me to do it for months but she just never had enough hair until now.
Thanks so much for sharing this blog I love it! Gives me great ideas for Matti's!
I am glad sometimes I have one and one girl instead of two girls to do their hair all up. Porter is so easy, the dressing, the hair. I share your feelings sometimes I run out the door with my hair just barely thrown up.
Yes, that's important to let Anna be as cute as possible. I wish I'd spent more time making your hair fancier (I was lazy) but you were always just naturally cute!!! If you don't believe me look at all the pictures... You and Anna are both cuties!!! Love, MOM
