I have a strong desire to go and it's not too late... You could take time off work and watch the kids in between TracPro. Justin has Pre-school tomorrow 9-1 and you could drop Anna off at Sis Crockett's for co-op 9-12. I also have co-op already scheduled for both Friday morning at the Henderson's 9-12 since I was going to Helping Hands of Henderson orientation which I can reschedule. You could have those times undivided, put the kids to bed earlier and work late into the night. Friday you would need to get the truck and pick up supplies and wood from my dad's and home depot to work on the Porch Saturday. I'd leave early Thursday morn. and get back late Friday night...
My thought...That's a lot to ask, I know, but I would really appreciate it! How bout I watch them while you hike the narrows next weekend?:0)
President Ballard agrees. "Third, give your wife a "day away" now and then. Just take over the household and give your wife a break from her daily responsibilities. Taking over for a while will greatly enhance your appreciation of what your wife does. You may do a lot of lifting, twisting, and bending!" It would be 2 days and a night, I know . What do you say? Love, Julie
And he said yes!!!!! Now the questions are, where am I staying and am I riding up alone or can I carpool with someone at the very last minute!!! Know anyone from Vegas going or how bout you??

we are actually driving up tonight & i would totally offer to stop and pick you up but we don't have any room! everyone else i know is flying up, but i'll put my thinking cap on!
Hurrah! I don't know anyone headed up that way... and if I wasn't playing around this weekend, I might head up that general direction and grab you on the way :)
Hope you have a wonderful time!
How fun for you! Time Out For Women was just here- well close to here- but I couldn't go. Next year I am for sure going!! Have fun and enjoy!!
Hey Nice new motif! I hope you have a good time in Utah! My adventurous spirit calls out to accompany you...but alas...my offspring calls out even louder.
So... I'm not there. I love to fly by the seat of my pants but this time there was not enough room on the runway. No one to ride with on 3 min. notice and after I really thought about it I realized I would have to leave at 2 a.m.! Anyone want to go in 2 years when I won't have a nursing baby? I'm not so sure about long range planning either!
Julie,
I am so happy to connect with you. I love your letter. Well played. What a cute family. Sounds like we do have a lot in common! I am sorry you didn't get to go, but I am sure the exercize wasn't in vain. I look forward to keeping up with your family.
I will be going in spirit with you, lol. What a wonderful husband! I imagine your quoted quote will be one that is most often used from this confrence, for a long long time. hee hee hee.Oh shucks, I just scrolled down and saw it didn't work out. Maybe we could plan something in the future as a group of women if we hear word of the next one several weeks in advance because I would love to go.
I only need 4-6 weeks notice and I'm good to go. Let me know next time.
Julie, I feel bad. I just went yesterday to WC. It was so fun! I was going to post on my blog that if anyone wants to go they can stay at my house, then we can drive down to Provo. I guess in two years! I get info about it a couple months in advance. There is always education week too. That might be after your baby though. Sorry it didn't work out.
I understand the fly by the seat of your pants ideas. I have planned many trips to Utah and last minute something comes up. I'm thinking of going up for a cousin's wedding the weekend after Mother's Day, but I'm not sure of any details.
My husband would have laughed at me if I tried to give him that note. No chance but so nice for you.
Oh, too bad you didn't actually get to go. :(
On my heavens I was going to go also. But alas I'm in Utah...my friends and I go every year and this year that made that silly rule that no nursing children allowed! Well trust me I wrote them a long letter explaining that the church has never frowned upon women having children and shouldn't exclude them from a WOMENS Conference. So hopefully next year they will take my suggestions and have classes for women with nursing children so we won't be left out. And you can come next year!
