No...I did not go on a blogging strike.

Yes...you get to look at our Southern California Vacation Pictures....

I tried to make it as short and sweet as possible!
Here are the highlights.Wednesday
Coronado Beach: Justin's kite flying almost to the hotel while he chased it 5 ft behind It was hilarious...until I realized he was crying. Luckily, after 2 or 3 minutes it crashed! Anna barely touched the water but loved the beach and stared with amazement at the ocean.
Thursday
SanDiego Zoo: Lots and lots and lots of walking, amazing animals, more walking, and a very exhausted pregant mommy!.
Justin was most excited to see the Crocodile and loved petting goats. My favorite: the Orangutans which I watched for half and hour.
Anna spent most of the day asleep in the back of the stroller sick...except when she got to take a bath in the bathroom due to a massive diaper explosion. Thank heavens for the private handicap bathroom with a very large sink....and that I actually brought a change of clothes for once!
Friday
Camping at San Diego Metro K.O.A...at 8 months pregnant, only because I love my blowup mattress!
And of course....IKEA...Again.

Birch Aquarium: Where Justin got to touch a "nice" shark, we saw cool creatures and we spent a long time playing with the water table.

Downtown Disney: Only crazy people visit this place on a Summer Friday Night.

Saturday
L.A. Temple for Steve and Colleen Gurerro's Wedding: What a cute couple they are! We are so happy our sweet friend Steve found such a cute girl. They had such a fun reception. Justin's favorite part was chasing the girls in pretty dresses!
Santa Monica Beach: We can't get enough of the beach...
Sunday....and Monday.
(Hopefully not Tuesday too)
Home Sweet Home...where I am avoiding the not so sweet stuff!
Our poor van: What happens when you go to the beach, camping, a wedding, the zoo, an aquarium, DT Disney and IKEA then get home 2:30 a.m. on Sunday Morning after a nice vacation. I need a vacation!

The car still looks exactly like this...36 hours later. Yikes.

I am so glad I'm not the only one that hates unpacking after a trip. My car always looks bad for several days and so does my house/bedroom. Looks like so much fun, except the pregnant part. It doesn't look fun to walk around that much and be that pregnant. You are brave.

LOVE the car pics! Unfortuantley, my car always looks like that. Sad, I know. Your pictures are fantastic. You take amazing pictures. I especially loved those animal pictures. Your trip looks like so much fun... I just don't know where you got the energy for all that walking. That's one awesome pregnant mama!

Your picture collages are gorgeous! Maybe you can teach me how! It looks like your trip was REALLY fun, I love IKEA too! No rush on emptying the car though, just enjoy being back home!

Wow what a trip! Sounds like a lot of fun. I LOVE the beach too. My car never looks like that after a trip because my husband is a clean car person. So he will take everything out of the car a dump it into my laundry room. So instead of my car looking like that my laundry room does. Yicks! I'm glad you had so much fun!

Oh, so THAT'S the beach you were going to!! You'll have to tell me how you liked that KOA. I had scoped that one out to take the trailer to. And, you went to Ikea without telling me???

We're kinda weird about unpacking the car. I love traveling, but the twins make traveling sometimes as fun as putting my finger in a light socket and while I really dislike unpacking the car, we're usually so glad to be home and have some space to spread out that we unpack like lightening. Now my suitcase usually doesn't get fully unpacked for a month, but at least it's upstairs in my closet! Let me know if you need me to send Sheridan over to play with the kids or help you unpack since she thinks being a mini Mommy is fun (sometimes). :-)

P.S. I just started a blog this weekend finally and linked yours to mine, too.

You should of told me that you guys were going to California, we could of met you at Downtown Disney. We just got back home too and my house, car, laundry room all look like a mess. I think I'm finally done with the Laundry, but the car still hasn't been washed. Good old cookies smashed in between the seats, carpet has unkown gooey fruit snack. FUN TIMES !!!! And you are so brave to do all that walking while you are 8 months pregnant. I'm glad you guys had fun.

That's great that you were able to go to Steve's wedding. Brien loves San Diego, maybe if I had suggested a California vacation to him I could have convinced him to go. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.

How fun! We're going to Cali this weekend. Unfortunately, we're going for surgery not fun. :( But, I will get to go to IKEA, so that's pretty cool! (Andrew needs a dresser and a big-boy bed.)

BTW- Yes, I have had a few victories, but Cora relapsed today and has been just about as naughty as she can. *sigh. I'm not giving up, though!

Julie you're funny! If I let my car go after beach trips there is always something in the shell pail that makes the whole car stink.
You're 8 months prego, I understand letting it go.

Am I the only one that doesn't know what IKEA is? You'll have to fill me in. Looks like a fun trip. Your pictures are amazing. How do you do the collages? I need to learn how. Have fun unpacking. That's the worst part about coming home. I hope you got some rest on Sunday. you looked exhausted.

Looks like a very jam packed and fun filled trip. San Diego truly is such a great place. The Hotel Del Coronado is a beautiful place and in my opinion, so is Ikea! I think you look just great as a pregnant lady!

What a fun vacation! One day I will see the beach. I have never beev to one, I don't thik Lake Mead counts. You have way more energy than I have when I'm pregnant. I can't even imagine doing all that walking. Make sure you rest, you might find yourself in labor with all tha moving! Leave the car alone. Make your husband do it, the laundry too. I hate coming back to laundry!

Julie, hi!
You guys stayed busy during vacation. I think when I go on the next one, it will be just me and Ben and we will relax most of the time!

Oh Julie, I am so glad you guys went on a vacation! Even though it is exhausting, it looks like you had an absolute blast. Your pictures are fantastic. They made me long for the beach. And that Vegas had a real zoo. Oh, and Steve... is he the guy that lived in the apartment across from you when you first were married? (or whenever I came home from my mission?)
By the way, blogging IS addicting. I have to get a whole bunch of cleaning done this morning so I can do another post myself. :)

That looks like so much fun! I was wondering where you have been. I thought you maybe had the baby early. I can't believe you did the zoo pregnant! We went when I wasn't knocked up and I thought I was going to burst a lung with all the walking. Those animals really need to learn to get along so they can be kept closer together. I am glad you had a fun trip.

Seeing those pictures makes me want to go to the beach! You're such a trooper doing all that so pregnant! Especially the camping.

I think I have the same van as you and we went to the beach and IKEA in May and I think I just got rid of all the sand in the van last month!

WOW Julie... what an exhausting trip!! Makes me feel very special to have friends like you and Patrick to make a visit to my wedding! It really did mean a lot to me to have you there. Not too many "Vegas" friends were able to make it. I am sorry we didn't have much time to talk and to visit with eachother... that day was such a BLUR!!! The only way I remember it is through pictures... and THANK YOU for posting some. I have yet to see the pictures from the photographer.. so it is nice to see pics from others. I love the one of me trying to kiss Colleen in the car!!! Classic!

You were so close to us! We're only 2 1/2 hours from San Diego! :) I know you won't be coming down here again any time soon, but if you do, let me know! We'll meet up for lunch!
