Recycled!

My dad got the wood for our patio cover roof from a guy who puts up and takes down signs for home builders. There was a colorful variety of boards that we used. Since was not part of putting on the roof, I was very curious to see what our backyard neighbors with a two story house were privileged to see....So up I climbed to partake of the lovely piece of modern art that Patrick and my dad had created. I think the collage turned out quite lovely. Since nobody would ever see it but the one house behind us it was tempting to leave it like that, just because I find it amusing to have random things in my relatively normal life, but it leaks when it rains....
Too bad for them that we covered it up with shingles this weekend!

You must not have an HOA with rules against such things. I have to pay extra for alumawood b/c it is the HOA standard. What a pain in the rear!!!!!

i was mostly kidding about leaving it like that...it would make for unpleasant neighbors...We don't have an HOA, just LMA Land management, which is good and bad. At least Alumawood looks fancy.

haha! What a good laugh!!! I must say though, if I were your neighbor....
Ha, actually, I really think its super cool. Artistic and interesting...
but MY NEIGHBOR who lives next to me, would have had me change it, she came over cause our kiddie pool had blown against the fence and would make a bumping noise with the wind... I felt so bad, but with our kids, if its not a crying kid, we sleep right through it!

It's great that you took a picture before you cover it up. This shows your conservative attitude and desire to reuse. Cute!!
