Ouch. Why did they have to write that so big?? One of the simple pleasures in my life is finding long lost friends and acquaintances online but alas those huge bold letters say it all. I just wish there were a way to send some plea for entrance into the protective environment of a private blog...at least if they said no after I asked, I would have a reason to feel disappointed I can't come in. I totally understand protecting lovely family info and pictures.... What is a blogger to do??? sigh.

I have had that same problem... there are blogs that I used to visit and then one day they are gone!

I agree with you, why mine isn't set to private. Plus if I forget to invite some1then their feelings get hurt and a friendship is lost or on the rocks for a bit.

I totally agree, that always makes me so sad too! I guess it's to keep out people like me who do all kinds of blog stalking.

I used to have my blog "for invited readers only" but for the same reason as you, I took the password off. I love when I can find long lost friends/acquaintances or they find me!!

I too, don't prefer the change to stretchy tabs.

Hi Julie. I am so glad you commented! It is so much fun to see how everyone is doing from institute days. You have a beautiful family! Do you mind if I add you as a link so I can check you out on a regular basis?

Hey Julie, I'm glad you found us. We were in Vegas last month and my little sister says she sees you quite a bit. How are you? Your kids are very cute!

I agree too, but i understand the privacy thing. I don't want some crazy to come get one of my girls- unless it's a really bad day!!

Hi Julie! It has been a long time since I have seen you. I think it was at Cove Fort a few years ago that we ran into each other last. Your kids are adorable! We have an Anna too she is one now. I understand your dilema about private or not. I had a hard time deciding too. Our blog is private. I would love to send you an invite, if only I had your email??? Email me at kellymikkelson@hotmail.com It is good to see your family is doing so well. Take care.

I feel so dumb when that happens. I'ts like when you were little and no one wanted you at their lunch table.

I too feel the rejection when I see that... however, I am one of the "private" bloggers. But I do have my email address in my portfolio for people to be able to be "invited". I thought that might help... who knows

That is a good idea. I wish they had a setting for request to enter site.

I feel your pain. It sucks!

I hate when I get that and there is no way to ask for permission even to read. (pouty face)

Well, we're glad you've found us!! Paul said to tell Patrick hello and to ask if he's finished paying for the soda he spilled at Lucky's when they worked together! =)
