Mommyhood is not for the faint of heart!

A blog is a place to tell about your children's milestones right...Well this one is momentous, just in time for summer dresses and onsie weather.

Anna has learned to tell me she has a poopy diaper! She simply reaches into her diaper and pulls out some of her wares. She then proceeds to squish it between her two little hands. If I am lucky I smell it or notice before it ends up all over her clothing. She "announced" the need for a diaper change during our shopping trip to Wal-Mart yesterday, then again a second time an hour later!...I tried to disinfect the cart as well as I could, but...

So all of you conscientious mothers who use the poofy padding and line your cart with love have the right idea!

Update...As I write, a new milestone to announce. Anna brought me the pack of diapers and laid next to me on the floor. Now that is progress!

you know, I've tried not to be a germ-a-phob - I never put one of those covers on the cart. Heck, I don't even use those complimentary disinfecting wipes. But now I'm seriously considering both! :) I guess I never thought about all the possiblities of germs, and where they came from . . .
So funny to read!

I have never seen a poofy pad like that before. That story does make you think twice about the germs at stores in carts, not just for the kids but maybe the food too. I guess it's mostly packaged but then you put the package places like a shelf or counter. Yuck, Hmmm.. Maybe I should try really hard not to think about it too much.

All I can say is GROSS! I hope she continues to progress and not feel the need to prove that she needs a change! Aahhh being a mom is great huh!

My second child did this... he always waited to poop till night. Then he'd smear it all over his bedding and the walls... fun times.

Eeew, luckily I have only had that happen once or twice. The best thing is when you have a dog and he is so anxious to be helpful that he cleans up the mess for you, the only way a dog knows how. Double yuck.

A dainty girl must never be dirty. She knows she is a princess and she is merely trying to make her servents understand.

Nasty! Just be lucky that you don't get her up from her nap and she has smeared poop on herself, the crib, walls and sheets! Thats a fun one too :)

LET ME HELP YOU! oh my gosh!!! Colette did the poop thing, every nap, every morning pretty much she would smear it all over her crib and her clothes, her blankets and EVERYTHING!!! Difuse the fun now!!! Put her in onzies, and PANTS. Make sure you secure her clothes, whatever she cant get off, whatever she cant reach the poop in!!! Oneies are good if they reach in the top, or the back, and pants are recommended cause they will eventually figure out they can get to it if they stick their hand up the leg, in the crotch. BEWARE!!! Gone un-fixed this can be TERRIBLE! Colette did it for almost a FULL YEAR!!! ADDRESS IT!! AHHH!! I am so serious! Im scared for you! It SUCKS!!

Your kids are getting so big. It is just fine to have a link to our blog. We like to peek in on everyone now and then too.

Wow, I'm sooo glad you were so easy to potty train (the easiest of 4)!! You kinda just trained yourself. You've actually always been an amazing daughter!!!
